Dromedary Records
Dromedary Records was established in the fall of 1992, with the goals of simultaneously being an outlet for great independent rock bands to remain independent, and being a resource for indie rock fans to find great music. Between 1993 and 2000, Dromedary released eight titles and hosted dozens of shows in New York and New Jersey, before finally going on hiatus.
Dromedary released music from The Mommyheads, Footstone, cuppa joe, Godspeed and others, distributed music from many other labels via mailorder, and at the time the label was put on hiatus, had plans to work with literally dozens of indie bands from around the country.
After a long hiatus, Dromedary owner Al Crisafulli began telling the story of Dromedary as a way to document the experiences and anecdotes of the label and its bands, and ultimately to keep the embers glowing so that the people we knew, and the bands we loved, would know we hadn’t forgotten about them. By the end of 2009, however, interest in the label’s story, coupled with dramatic advances in technology, made it possible – and sensible – to re-launch the label, taking advantage of the global reach of the internet to distribute their music directly to the people who want to hear it.
Dromedary Records re-launched as a label on January 4, 2010, and already has several releases in the mix for 2010.

The Return of Dromedary Records!
And out here in indie land, a lot of us are happy that they didn't stay closed. Welcome back, Al, and Dromedary.
