The Diamond Center
Headed by Brandi Price and Kyle Harris, the Richmond-based band has been compared favorably to Neko Case, Loretta Lynn, and My Morning Jacket, and can be described as psychedelic alt.country, which isn't something you hear everyday.
Their sophomore album, My Only Companion, got the band widespread attention and favorable press from well respected music blogs and magazines like NPR's Second Stage, Impose Magazine, I Guess I'm Floating, and NYC's Breakthru Radio. After taking the last few months off to move from Lubbock (Texas) to Richmond (Virginia), the band is back at it, and has begun scheduling their winter/spring tour. Check out the dates below, and you can download My Only Companion too.

The Diamond Center Gets NPR'd

"My Only Companion is the self-released second album from Brandi Price and Kyle Harris, whose hometown of Lubbock, TX provides a perfect visual context for the duo's heavily distorted hallucinogenic visions that span across the album."
