Call it Folk writes about Madeline's upcoming "Tour" EP

Athens, Georgia-based singer/songwriter Madeline Adams is on the road with the White Flag Band sporting a new tour EP that was recorded last summer in Anacordes, Wash. The EP features contributions from Phil Elverum (Mt. Eerie) and Gus Franklin (Architecture in Helsinki), and the resulting 7-inch is a lo-fi document that embodies the Pacific Northwest’s signature indie rock slur over Madeline’s lovelorn voice. The EP is due out March 4 via Orange Twin. Orange Twin Records is a record label and web site run by members of Elf Power and Nana Grizol which is raising funds for land preservation and sustainable development. We are currently working on an 150 acre eco-village in Athens, Ga. We support artists by providing an affordable place for them to display and sell artwork and music at www.orangetwin.com.

Madeline Adams was raised in the vibrant music scene of Athens, Georgia, and began performing her songs by the age of sixteen. Her 2003 Plan-It-X release, “Kissing and Dancing,” is now in its third pressing and has earned her national recognition and a loyal fan-base. To date, she has been on eleven national tours and has been billed along side acts like Nedelle, Jens Lekman, Antony and the Johnsons, Robyn Hitchcock, Calvin Johnson, Tilly and the Wall and David Dondero.
