For some reason I never got around to writing about Nana Grizol’s new album Ruth. It’s not because it’s not a fantastically fun record, but just because I am a complete space cadet sometimes. So here’s my attempt to rectify that wrong by showing some love to Ruth.

Nana Grizol’s album Ruth sounds like a record you’d discover from the mid-90s that a ton of your favorite bands cite as a big influence. It sounds a touch like other third-tier (in fame, not quality) Elephant 6 acts, but also owes a little bit to the pop punk progenitors who’ve influenced everyone from Ted Leo to Against Me!.
